About
AbsoTravel — the atlas of the Absolute community
A non-commercial atlas of the world’s beautiful places. It answers three questions: where to go, how to get there and what to know before you buy a ticket.
The world’s best
In every country, a few places worth the journey: the main one, an easy one and a hard one. Chosen for beauty, uniqueness and recognition: UNESCO, national parks, nature reserves.
Honest
Rules, prices and fees come with official sources and the date of each check. Reviews and stories are never made up. Russian Foreign Ministry warnings are never left out.
Private
No accounts, no cookies, no analytics. Saved places and plans stay in your browser only. The site loads nothing from other servers.
How the atlas is made
Places
Chosen region by region so there are both weekends nearby and dreams of a lifetime. Each has photos, season, access, route and fees.
The access scale
From 1 (“easy”) to 5 (“expedition”): how hard it is to get there and spend time there — transport, permits, season, effort. Visas are separate, by country.
Facts
- Entry: government, embassy and foreign ministry websites
- Fees and permits: park and ministry websites
- Mir card: the NSPK list
- Price level: the World Bank
